Window well forms are being set.
Window wells for the two new egress windows are now in place.
This window well has enough gravel but still needs a ladder. The other needs a ladder too.
The team from Meticulous Masonry clipping along. What a great professional team!
Meticulous Masonry and their perfect concrete block infill.
Porch piers are being formed. They won't look so tall once the site is backfilled.
The back of the house needs a bunch more fill dirt and some piers here.
This is the aftermath of the flood caused by rain pouring in open windows and cellar door

Final Foundation work moves along slowly
As May turned to June we waited and waited until finally our foundation work could be completed. Schafbuch Concrete returned and finished our window wells and poured our porch piers. Meticulous Masonry did a meticulous job filling in the large area in the front that was used to drive on to the foundation. They also filled in the four rear knockout that allowed the beams that carried the house to lower below the foundation line when the house was set on the foundation. On June 21 and 22 Iowa City got 5 inches of rain. With the open basement windows and open cellar door entry we had water that deep. Quick-acting staff pumped it out and saved the furnace that was sitting there waiting for installation.
